Business attorney retainer in Utah

A business attorney retainer in Utah is a monthly relationship with one lawyer for the company. You are not buying a single contract and disappearing. You are keeping counsel who already knows the business.

I’m Jaxon Munns. I run Munns Legal out of Lehi. The retainer is for contracts, entity and ownership paper, and the legal questions that come with running a Utah company.

If you only need one document a year, a retainer may be more than you want. If legal work keeps showing up and you don’t want a new intake each time, a monthly retainer is usually the cleaner setup.

I don’t publish a menu price. It depends on the work. Tell me what’s going on and I’ll tell you if it makes sense. If it doesn’t, I’ll say so.

Sending the form on this site does not make me your lawyer. If it’s a fit, we talk. I am licensed in Utah. Utah Bar 18485.

What is a monthly legal retainer for a company?

You pay for an ongoing relationship, not one filing. I already know the company when the next contract or entity issue shows up.

Is a monthly retainer the same as a trust deposit I burn hourly?

No. A lot of firms take a deposit, bill hourly, and that “retainer” shrinks as they work. What I mean is a monthly relationship. I already know the company. You are not burning a pile of money down to zero and starting over.

What work is in a Munns Legal business retainer?

Contract drafting and review, entity and ownership paperwork, and ongoing counsel for Utah businesses. If something is outside that, I’ll say so.

How much does a business attorney retainer cost in Utah?

It depends on the work. I don’t publish a menu price. Tell me what’s going on and I’ll tell you if a monthly retainer makes sense.

Is a retainer better than hiring a lawyer per project?

It depends. Per project is fine if the work is rare. A retainer is for companies where legal work keeps showing up and re-explaining the business each time is a waste.

Does sending the form make you my lawyer?

No. The form is an inquiry. We are not attorney and client until we agree to that in writing.

How do I ask about a retainer?

Tell me what’s going on on the homepage. Name, email, company, and a few sentences.
